Introduction to satiation and satiety

On the 18th June 2009 the British Nutrition Foundation held a conference 'Satiation, satiety and their effects on eating behaviour' to present its recent work on satiety. Chaired by Professor John Blundell, eminent speakers covered the latest research on satiation, satiety and their effects on eating behaviour. The conference marked the publication of  a BNF Briefing Paper on satiety and satiation in the June issue of the Nutrition Bulletin.

Understanding how we can manipulate the diet, to help us feel fuller after eating, can help us maintain a healthy body weight. Based on the latest science, the British Nutrition Foundation has put together a number of resources, including top tips, a podcast, recipes and the 'Feed yourself fuller' chart,  to help us all feel fuller without piling on the calories.

BNF's satiety podcast can be downloaded by right clicking here and selecting the option 'Save link as'.

The podcast is also available to watch on YouTube in two parts: part 1 and part 2
