Assistant Nutrition Scientist (2 years)

A vacancy exists for a nutrition scientist to contribute to the Foundation’s scientific and education programmes. This role will allow an individual to gain experience of working in different aspects of BNF’s work. Specifically, it combines working on nutrition science and education projects, as well as supporting BNF’s awards, memberships, conferences, forums and other activities. The individual will also help with conference admin, routine nutrition enquiries, writing articles for consumers and healthcare professionals, and providing support to the Senior Leadership Team. The role offers opportunities to engage with a range of stakeholders, including government agencies, health professionals and the food industry.

The successful applicant will be a graduate nutrition scientist. Excellent writing, oral communication and organisational skills are essential. Other key skills are an ability to communicate and write well and an interest in enhancing IT skills. Experience of nutritional analysis software would be an advantage.

The post is full-time and London-based, and will require travel from time to time. Salary will be dependent on skills and experience and will include a healthcare package and pension contribution.
