Fermented foods hold a firm place in cuisine from almost every culture and have undergone a surge in popularity, but what are they and what are their proposed health benefits? Should we be including these in our diet? What evidence is there for their role in promoting a healthy gut?

This free webinar, organised by BNF and the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP), explores this fascinating food trend in a considered way with leading experts in the field, Prof Robert Hutkins, Professor of Food Science, University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Board member of ISAPP and Dr Eirini Dimidi, registered dietitian and Lecturer in Nutritional Sciences at King's College London.
