What is the Evidence?
As the symptoms of food allergies can significantly affect an individual’s health and lifestyle, finding ways to prevent the development of food allergy is important. Prevention strategies have focused on limiting exposure to allergens during the antenatal and postnatal period (e.g. via the maternal diet and during infant feeding). But what is the evidence behind the prevention of food allergy in this period? BNF have developed a series of 5 questions to explore the evidence in this area.
