Based on the findings of the 2013 British Nutrition Foundation Task Force report Nutrition and Development – Short and Long-term Consequences for Health, BNF has launched an online training course Allergy - reducing the risk in early life, aimed at midwives, health visitors and other health professionals that advise pregnant women and new mums.

Over two modules, the course describes the evidence linking antenatal and early life influences with future allergy risk and summarises current guidelines for allergy prevention during pregnancy, breastfeeding, formula feeding and weaning. The course also includes additional modules on case studies and emerging issues.
