The BNF Prize 2022

We are accepting nominations for the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) Prize 2022. The Award is made possible through the Foundation's management of the Drummond Memorial Fund, established in memory of the work and contribution of Sir Jack Drummond.

The Prize will be awarded to a UK-based leader in nutrition science, who has made an outstanding contribution to the field over a number of years. This will be judged according to the significance and quality of the individual’s contribution to the field of nutrition and nutrition science and/or nutrition education and its impact on society.

The Prize winner should be a good communicator as they will be invited to describe the impact of their work to a broad audience at the British Nutrition Foundation Annual Lecture which takes place at the British Nutrition Foundation Annual Day event, the year after being awarded the prize.

To submit a nomination, please send the person’s name and organisation, along with:

(1) a sentence encapsulating why the individual has been nominated and

(2) a short biography (100-250 words) that outlines their achievements

to Emma Rowley (e.rowley@nutrition.org.uk) by midnight on 31 May 2022.

The list of previous winners can be found here. Previous winners are not eligible for re-nomination.

The Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Advisory Committee and Scientific Committee will vote on the nominees. The name of the person who submitted the nomination will not be shared with Trustees or committee members.

The recipient of the award will be informed by 15 July 2022.
